CASE SUMMARY & BACKGROUND

A federal criminal prosecution (Case No. 24-CR-542) in the Southern District of New York where prosecutors alleged that Sean Combs operated a criminal enterprise ("Combs Enterprise") utilizing his business entities and personnel to facilitate sexual encounters, coerce victims into coerced sexual performances termed "Freak Offs," and conceal abuses through violence, threats, and intimidation. The indictment included charges of racketeering conspiracy (RICO), sex trafficking by force, and interstate transportation to engage in prostitution under the Mann Act. Following an eight-week trial, a jury acquitted Combs of the RICO and sex trafficking counts on July 2, 2025, while convicting him on two counts of transportation for prostitution. On October 3, 2025, the court sentenced Combs to 50 months in federal prison.
